The National Agricultural Development Company (NADEC) has advanced its digital transformation by successfully implementing SAP Signavio. This strategic move is part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 to diversify and enhance the efficiency of NADEC’s services, allowing it to break into new sectors and markets in the food industry, thereby boosting product quality and customer satisfaction.
Supported by the SAP Customer Success program, the deployment was completed in just five days, transforming 51 business processes across finance, procurement, warehousing, production, and more. This rapid integration has already started yielding benefits for NADEC’s customers, staff, and partners.
Saad Saud Alhowaimel, Vice President of Digital & Technology at NADEC, emphasized that operational excellence is crucial for supporting the region’s economic diversification and food security strategies. “The SAP Signavio project has not only streamlined our operations but also provided enhanced visibility and control, empowering our workforce to deliver superior service throughout the KSA and beyond,” he stated.
The project’s success led NADEC to win the ‘Best Achievement in a Business Process Management Program’ at the prestigious Business Transformation & Operational Excellence Awards in the US. The implementation created a unified source for real-time data on business transactions and inventory, critical for strategic decision-making. Tools such as SAP Signavio Process Insights and Process Manager were integrated with SAP S/4HANA, forming a robust framework for continuous improvement in business operations, which led to a 37% reduction in transaction times and near-perfect product costing accuracy.
Omar Bukhari, Head of Consumer Retail Services at SAP Saudi Arabia, remarked, “SAP Signavio is an end-to-end platform that allows rapid and scalable business process improvements, making it ideal for NADEC’s pursuit of excellence and growth.”
Eman Goubran, Head of Sales EMEA South at SAP Signavio, added, “The selection of SAP Signavio for this project was due to its seamless integration with existing SAP systems, ease of use in creating process models, and the collaborative capabilities it offers, supporting NADEC’s broader strategy for digital modernization and market expansion.”
Last year, NADEC outlined an ambitious strategy to transform the food industry through sustainability, growth, and health, focusing on quality projects, localizing modern technologies, and developing national talents in line with Vision 2030’s food security goals.
