KARACHI — Meezan Bank, Pakistan’s largest Islamic bank, has become the first bank in the country to offer Visa’s latest digital innovation: the Visa Global eSIM for its Visa Infinite Debit Cardholders. Powered by Visa’s extensive backend infrastructure and broad device compatibility, the Visa Global eSIM allows users to instantly switch carriers and activate international data directly from their devices, eliminating the hassle of purchasing local SIM cards or relying on unsecured public Wi-Fi.

Eligible Meezan Bank customers receive up to 3GB of complimentary high-speed data for 21 days across more than 150 countries, plus a 25% discount on additional data top-ups beyond the free allocation.

Syed Iftikhar ul Haq, Group Head of Consumer Finance at Meezan Bank, said, “This first-of-its-kind lifestyle benefit offers our Visa Infinite Debit Cardholders a secure, convenient way to stay connected while traveling abroad, enhancing the international travel experience for our premium customers.”

Umar Khan, Visa’s Country Manager for Pakistan & Afghanistan, added, “As global travel increases, Visa’s Global eSIM integration with Meezan Bank’s premium card enables effortless and secure connectivity worldwide, meeting the growing demand for seamless digital access.”
