UAE, Egypt Explore Fatwa Cooperation and Digital Innovation in Religious Guidance

Dr. Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Chairman of the UAE’s General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, met with Dr. Nazir Mohammed Ayyad, Grand Mufti of Egypt, to discuss strengthening cooperation, integration, and expertise exchange in the field of fatwa.

The meeting, held on the sidelines of the Cairo conference “The Making of a Competent Mufti in the Digital Age”, was attended by Dr. Khalifa Mubarak Al Dhaheri, Chancellor of Mohamed bin Zayed University for Humanities, Dr. Sabaa Salem Al Kaabi, Acting Secretary-General of the Emirates Fatwa Council, and other senior religious affairs officials from both countries.

Talks focused on leveraging digital technologies and artificial intelligence to provide accurate, timely fatwas to communities, addressing modern challenges and the complex issues facing diverse segments of society.
