Kuwait Launches Baladia 139 App to Streamline Public Complaints and Municipal Services

The Kuwait Municipality has launched a new mobile application, Baladia 139, aimed at improving communication between residents and municipal authorities while expediting the handling of public complaints.

According to Mohammad Al-Sandan, Director of Public Relations and official spokesperson for the Municipality, the app allows users to report violations by submitting photos and precise location details directly through the platform. Depending on the issue’s severity, complaints are addressed within four to 72 hours, and users receive real-time updates and confirmation photos once the matter is resolved.

The Baladia 139 system also enables the Municipality to monitor inspector and staff performance, providing monthly reports on response efficiency and service quality. This data-driven approach helps ensure accountability and faster resolution of civic issues.

Al-Sandan noted that continuous updates will be rolled out to enhance functionality and prevent technical issues. The initiative represents a key step in Kuwait’s efforts to digitize public services, increase transparency, and improve citizen engagement in municipal operations.
