The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, in collaboration with the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones, has unveiled an exciting investment opportunity to develop and operate a ‘Tech Startup Zone’ at Airport Heights in Bausher.
This initiative is designed to attract tech startups, fostering their growth in alignment with the National Programme for Digital Economy and Oman Vision 2040. Interested investors can submit proposals through the Tatwir platform.
The project will offer a range of incentives to support startups, drive tech innovation in Oman, attract emerging tech companies from across the region, and provide a nurturing environment for their growth and global expansion.
The investment process consists of four stages: purchase period, inquiries period, bid submission, and grant period.
- Purchase Period: Investors can purchase the investment opportunity booklet, which includes all terms and requirements. This stage lasts 30 days, allowing investors to review documents and prepare inquiries.
- Inquiries Period: This one-week period enables communication with the ministry via email and phone for clarifications.
- Bid Submission: Investors submit necessary documents electronically and pay the insurance fee.
- Grant Period: The ministry evaluates the bids, with a specialised committee approving the best offer.
This initiative aims to create a vibrant tech ecosystem in Oman, supporting the growth of startups and contributing to the nation’s digital economy goals.
