Kuwaiti Fintech Kem Secures $3 Million Investment from Tether to Boost Digital Payments

Kuwait-based fintech startup Kem has received a $3 million investment from digital asset giant Tether, elevating Kem’s total funding to $4.5 million since its inception in 2021. Kem, a peer-to-peer payment platform, facilitates transactions via QR codes, eliminating the need for traditional payment methods and account details.

This strategic investment by Tether is designed to enhance the usage of its USD₮ currency in the region and to expand access to digital financial services on Kem’s innovative platform.
