The IGCF, held in Sharjah—a hub of cultural and communication excellence—brings together experts to discuss the best practices in government communication. The 13th edition of the forum focuses on “the future of communication in resilient governments,” highlighting the importance of innovative communication strategies in navigating the rapid technological and societal changes that define modern governance. This year’s theme, ‘Agile Governments…Innovative Communication,’ emphasizes the crucial role of communication in improving government efficiency and developing future-ready communication systems.

Fahad Al Hassawi, CEO of du, expressed his enthusiasm for the forum, stating, “The IGCF offers du a platform to support Sharjah’s visionary approach to culture and communication. Sharjah exemplifies cultural richness and communication excellence, and by participating in this event, we aim to strengthen the Emirate’s leadership in these areas while emphasizing the critical role of effective government communication in fostering community and global partnerships.”

The IGCF will address various aspects of government communication through insightful sessions. These discussions will explore the global competition for talent and how governments can attract and integrate key individuals into their development strategies. The forum will also examine how smart and innovative economic activities can use “soft power” to build trust and drive growth, reflecting the dynamic nature of contemporary governance. Additionally, the “Silver Economy” will be highlighted, showcasing the valuable contributions of older generations to societal and economic well-being.

Another important topic to be covered is the “Information Wars” and the challenges of “Communication Globalization,” focusing on the dangers of misinformation and the strategic impact of globalized communication on shaping public narratives. These sessions underscore du’s dedication to advancing government communication strategies and contributing to the broader discussion on this critical issue.
