The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) of Bahrain marked the successful conclusion of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Digital Skills Forum. This pivotal three-day event, hosted at the Gulf Convention Centre, Gulf Hotel, brought together esteemed international leaders, government officials, and industry experts to focus on enhancing digital skills worldwide.
The forum’s agenda covered various pressing topics, including digital transformation, addressing digital skill gaps, and developing national frameworks for digital skills. The sessions facilitated rich discussions and insights on advancing global digital competencies.
At the closing ceremony, attended by international regulators and distinguished guests, Philip Marnick, General Director of TRA Bahrain, commended the significant contributions of all the participants. He highlighted Bahrain’s leadership in digital skills development, stating, “As we wrap up the ITU Digital Skills Forum, Bahrain reaffirms its commitment to leading digital advancement in the region. This forum has strengthened our resolve to include everyone in the digital age, ensuring Bahrain remains at the forefront of the digital future.”
