Doha, Qatar: The 30th meeting of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) Committee for Under-Secretaries of Post and Telecommunications convened in Doha yesterday, chaired by Engineer Ahmad Abdulla AlMuslemani, President of Qatar’s Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA).
The gathering underscores Qatar’s dedication to fostering collaboration across the Gulf states in the rapidly evolving domains of post and telecommunications. This alignment aims to drive digital transformation and support sustainable development within the region.
Discussions during the meeting centered on enhancing telecommunications infrastructure and improving postal services quality. The agenda also covered strategic follow-ups on prior decisions including roaming protocols and restructuring efforts of the Ministerial Committee for Digital Economy. Furthermore, the delegates discussed advancements in space technology and electronic applications, reviewed insights from digital topics, and worked towards formulating strategies to boost cooperation among the Gulf states in these essential sectors.
Engineer Ahmad Abdulla AlMuslemani expressed his enthusiasm about hosting the meeting, emphasizing the critical role of cooperation in the telecommunications and postal fields amidst global digital and technological advancements. “We anticipate productive dialogues and the sharing of insights that will propel us towards our collective goals.
