Amana Healthcare, a subsidiary of the M42 group, has officially commenced construction on its state-of-the-art facility in Al Jasra, Bahrain. In collaboration with Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat), the groundbreaking ceremony, held on 18th September 2024, celebrates Amana Healthcare’s entry into Bahrain and its mission to deliver world-class health services and specialized care to the Kingdom.
Attendees at the ceremony included prominent members of Amana Healthcare – Bahrain’s Board of Directors, such as Dr. Mohamed Al Saati, Acting CEO of M42 Bahrain and CEO of Amana Healthcare Bahrain, and Khalid Hussain Taqi, Managing Director of Local Impact Investments at Mumtalakat.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Al Saati emphasized the importance of the new facility, stating, “This highly specialized center will meet a critical need in Bahrain, especially in long-term complex medical care and post-acute rehabilitation. We are excited to partner with Mumtalakat to bridge essential gaps in the healthcare system, support Bahrain’s national vision, and generate employment opportunities for local professionals. Today’s groundbreaking is just the beginning, with a Recruitment Day scheduled on 12th October 2024 in Manama to attract top talent from across the Kingdom.”

Slated to open in 2025, the Amana Healthcare facility will be Bahrain’s first international provider of specialized long-term care and post-acute rehabilitation services. This 15,000-square-metre, 100-bed center will feature advanced amenities, including two large gyms, a hydrotherapy pool, majlises, and gardens, aiming to set a new standard for healthcare in the region.
