Huawei Connect 2024 served as a pivotal platform for Bahrain to benchmark its AI initiatives on the global stage. Dr. Jassim Haji, Executive Advisor for AI and Data Science at the Nasser Artificial Intelligence Research and Development Centre, participated as a panelist in the “Amplify Intelligence, Advance Industry” session, where he highlighted Bahrain’s innovative approach to AI development.
During the event, Huawei and IDC jointly introduced the Global Digitalisation Index (GDI), assessing digital infrastructure and the value of the ICT industry across different nations. Bahrain ranked 41st globally, excelling in key areas such as ‘Ubiquitous Connectivity,’ ‘Policy & Ecosystem,’ and ‘Digital Foundation.’
Held from September 19 to 21 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Centre, Huawei Connect 2024 brought together global industry leaders under the theme “Amplify Intelligence.” The conference focused on how AI and digital technologies can drive innovation, efficiency, and strategic development across industries. Huawei’s Deputy Chairman Eric Xu shared insights into the future of AI and its transformative impact on enterprises.
Huawei also released its reports “Intelligent World 2030” and “Striding Towards the Intelligent World,” which outline the future of the ICT industry and innovative paths for technological development.
Additionally, Huawei introduced its AI offerings, including Ascend AI hardware and software products that enable partners to create enterprise AI solutions. These offerings have already been adopted by over 20 partners to develop more than 100 AI solutions for various scenarios.
Huawei Connect 2024 provided an invaluable forum for leaders to navigate the evolving landscape of AI, emphasizing the importance of strategy, technology, and ecosystem development in this rapidly advancing era.
