Medicare Group Completes Back-Office Transformation with SAP S/4HANA and Mannai IT Solutions

Medicare Group has successfully completed a comprehensive overhaul of its back-office operations, transitioning from a legacy system to a customized platform powered by RISE with SAP S/4HANA, in collaboration with Mannai IT Solutions.

Muhammad Burjaq, Chief Financial Officer at Medicare Group, highlighted that upgrading to a modern, well-controlled back-office environment aligned with the latest business standards in ERP software was a strategic decision for the company. Following the implementation, Medicare has achieved significant improvements in report generation, data quality, analytics, and management information access through advanced dashboards.

Key Benefits

Medicare Group’s IT representatives, Hisham Iqtail and Nazar Ali, described the project as a major undertaking, involving an extensive evaluation of leading ERP systems before selecting SAP S/4HANA for its tailored benefits, particularly in healthcare and hospital operations. The seamless integration of ADAM, Medicare’s in-house Hospital Information System (HIS), with the new SAP platform was a critical success factor. ADAM, or Al-Ahli Doctors’ Assistant Module, has gained interest from third-party healthcare providers at local, regional, and international levels.

Alaa Jaber, Managing Director for SAP Qatar and Fast Growth Markets, emphasized that this digital transformation supports Qatar National Vision 2030, bringing significant advantages to Medicare Group and its stakeholders. With enhanced real-time data insights, Medicare can now respond more effectively to changes in patient demand and optimize operational efficiency. SAP’s financial solutions also aid the company in maintaining transparency and clarity for its investors, as Medicare Group is publicly listed on the Qatar Exchange.

Custom Solution

Khalid Al Mannai, Vice Chairman and Executive Committee member of Mannai Corporation QPSC, credited close collaboration between Mannai, Medicare Group, and SAP as the key to the project’s success. The partnership resulted in a custom solution that aligns closely with Medicare’s specific needs. With over 30 years of experience supporting Qatar’s public and private sectors, Mannai’s role as an implementation partner was instrumental in elevating Medicare’s services to its patients, stakeholders, and employees.

This transformation marks a significant milestone for Medicare Group, positioning it to optimize operations, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery in the rapidly evolving healthcare landscape.
