Batelco, Bahrain’s leading telecommunications provider and a part of the Beyon Group, has introduced a 7-day free mobile network trial, inviting users to experience its network’s superior performance firsthand.
This initiative aligns with Batelco’s recent recognition in the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) Quality of Mobile Network Experience report. The report highlights Batelco’s continued efforts to enhance customer experiences, including network performance improvements, infrastructure investments, and the adoption of advanced technologies, according to a company statement.
For four consecutive years, Batelco has maintained its leadership in providing 100% 5G network coverage across Bahrain. Additionally, its 5G speeds recently exceeded 3.3 Gbps, setting a new benchmark in the kingdom’s mobile industry. The company has also significantly enhanced the internet browsing experience, particularly for popular platforms like YouTube and Instagram.
The free trial is available through the Batelco app, allowing customers to easily sign up and receive a temporary eSIM for seven days, with no hidden fees or obligations. Following the trial, users can seamlessly subscribe to any postpaid or prepaid plans via the app.
Rashed Mohamed, Batelco’s Chief Technology Officer, expressed pride in the company’s achievements, particularly its “Excellent” rating of 19 out of 20 in the Quality of Experience (QoE) KPIs from the TRA Benchmark report. “This is a testament to our ongoing commitment to delivering top-tier services. Aseel Mattar, General Manager of Consumer at Batelco, highlighted the free trial as a way to allow customers to experience the quality of Batelco’s services for themselves. “This initiative, the first of its kind in Bahrain, reflects our confidence in the network we provide and offers everyone the chance to test and evaluate our services personally,” she stated.
