Orange Foundation Jordan has signed a partnership agreement with DigiSkills Association, a key initiative under the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, to support Orange Jordan’s Coding Academy Program. This collaboration is part of DigiSkills’ broader effort to launch Jordan’s largest digital skills and employment program, developed under the Youth, Technology, and Jobs (YTJ) project, funded by the World Bank.
The program aims to enhance the skills of Jordanian university graduates in STEM fields, preparing them to be more competitive in the labor market. The first cohort of 50 students will receive training in programming, one of the most in-demand skills today, with internships leading to employment.
Throughout the agreement, over 100 students will benefit from technical, soft skills, and English language development. This collaboration reinforces Jordan’s digital transformation vision and efforts to strengthen the ICT sector.
Orange Foundation Jordan emphasized that this partnership, along with its long-term collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, underscores their commitment to spreading digital literacy and helping young people develop skills that lead to employment.
DigiSkills, founded in 2021, is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing youth skills as part of the Ministry’s programs. Orange’s Coding Academy has already trained over 800 students, with more than 80% securing employment.
