The Dubai Electronic Security Centre (DESC) has certified 950 cloud-based services, benefiting over 100 government entities across the UAE. The centre also announced that 17 authorised cloud computing service providers and 20 data centres are now operational within the country.
Yousuf Hamad Al Shaibani, CEO of DESC, emphasized that the centre’s efforts to bolster cloud security align with its vision of making Dubai the safest city in cyberspace. These initiatives aim to safeguard Dubai’s cyberspace, ensuring economic prosperity and the city’s reputation as a global hub of innovation and electronic security.
Al Shaibani noted that DESC’s projects, which focus on redefining cloud computing security, are vital for protecting the emirate in a rapidly evolving technological landscape. “These initiatives protect the emirate’s information systems and data, enforce strict protection measures, and provide continuous technical and advisory support to government sectors,” he said.
In addition, DESC’s efforts promote cybersecurity development and ensure compliance with key industry standards to maintain a secure cyberspace for Dubai’s smart transformation.
