Kuwait City, Kuwait – The sixth edition of the Cybersecurity Education and Scientific Research Conference (CIRC) has opened in Kuwait, bringing together experts and academics to discuss the latest trends and challenges in cybersecurity. The conference, themed “Advancing Cybersecurity in the Age of Artificial Intelligence and Education,” is hosted by the Kuwait College of Science and Technology.
Major General (Retd) Mohammed Bouarki, Chairman of the National Cyber Security Center, emphasized the critical role of cybersecurity in ensuring the success of digital transformation initiatives. He highlighted the need for stronger collaboration between academic institutions, government agencies, and private sector organizations to develop innovative and effective cybersecurity solutions.
“Cybersecurity is essential for ensuring the success of digital transformation in today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape,” stated Bouarki.
Dr. Khaled Al-Buqaeen, President of the Kuwait College of Science and Technology, echoed the importance of collaboration and knowledge sharing in addressing cybersecurity challenges. He noted that the conference features distinguished academic content from speakers in Kuwait and the United Kingdom, all aimed at developing a robust cybersecurity strategy for Kuwait.
“The college is dedicated to sharing its academic expertise and fostering a collaborative environment to enhance cybersecurity culture in the region and find innovative solutions to emerging challenges,” said Al-Buqaeen.
