Abu Dhabi, UAE – Presight, a regional leader in big data analytics powered by generative AI, has partnered with the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation of the Republic of Colombia to promote research, development, and innovation in AI and big data.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Thomas Pramotedham, CEO of Presight, and Ángela Yesenia Olaya Requene, Colombian Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation. It outlines a commitment to collaborative efforts in areas of mutual interest, including AI, data analytics, smart cities, energy, and climate.

“This agreement is an important milestone as we explore new applications of research and innovation in Colombia and Latin America,” said Pramotedham. “There is great potential to leverage AI and Big Data to solve some of the world’s most pressing problems.”

The partnership will focus on leveraging emerging technologies to support strategic sectors in Colombia. This includes improving operational efficiency in smart cities and strengthening the energy transition and bioeconomy.

“Colombia is making significant strides in the development of smart cities, especially in urban areas like Medellín and Bogotá, and I am grateful that Presight has the opportunity to contribute to the country’s progress toward smart cities,” added Pramotedham.

The collaboration will also involve organizing seminars and conferences to facilitate knowledge sharing and establishing mechanisms for technology transfer to accelerate AI and big data development for both parties.
