Colis.ma Secures $300,000 Pre-Seed Funding to Expand Cross-Border Logistics Services

Colis.ma, a Moroccan startup specializing in cross-border logistics, has successfully closed a $300,000 pre-seed funding round led by Moroccan venture capital firm Witamax. This funding will enhance the company’s service coverage in Morocco and six European countries while paving the way for further expansion into West Africa.

Since its launch in 2022, Colis.ma has made significant strides, delivering over 50,000 parcels to more than 55 destinations across Europe. The company has achieved remarkable growth, including a fivefold increase in operations within the past year and a 380% rise in Annual Recurring Revenue in 2023 compared to the previous year.

Colis.ma aims to connect individuals and small-to-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), focusing on sectors such as cosmetics, artisanal goods, and organic products. The startup aspires to establish itself as a key logistics player between Africa and Europe, leveraging innovative technological solutions to optimize its operations and enhance service quality.

“We are extremely grateful to Witamax for supporting our vision from the start. This funding allows us to broaden our geographic coverage and improve the quality of our services,” stated Issam Darui, CEO and founder of Colis.ma. “Our goal is to become a key player in logistics between Africa and Europe, offering innovative solutions in a transforming sector.”

Colis.ma collaborates with a diverse range of partners, including traditional and unorganized transporters, to optimize their operations while ensuring high-quality service for clients through its internally developed technology solutions.

Hiba Mrani Alaoui, General Partner at Witamax, noted: “Colis is thriving and well positioned to become an incumbent in this field.”

Previously, Colis.ma raised $50,000 from the African investor The Baobab Network after participating in their accelerator program. The startup also took part in the Plug and Play Morocco Batch 4 Accelerator program and recently secured a $45,000 grant after completing the Orange Corners program in February 2024. Several African and international venture capital firms have already shown interest in joining Colis.ma’s upcoming fundraising round, slated for early 2026, highlighting the startup’s potential to capture additional market share in the logistics sector.
