The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Accenture, a leading global professional services company, to strengthen health data governance and elevate healthcare services in the Emirate. This strategic partnership aims to leverage Accenture’s advanced data and AI solutions, enhancing patient outcomes and driving significant advancements in the healthcare sector.
The collaboration will focus on Data Governance Execution, Health AI Use Case Advisory, and Health Data Infrastructure, reinforcing DoH’s commitment to building a resilient, innovative, and data-driven healthcare sector. The MoU was signed in the presence of Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Under-Secretary of DoH, by Ibrahim Al Jallaf, Executive Director of Digital Health at DoH, and Nadya Abdulla Kamali, UAE Country Managing Director of Accenture.
Ibrahim Al Jallaf expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi is delighted to work alongside our esteemed partners at Accenture. Through this partnership, DoH and Accenture aim to create a sustainable, technology-enabled healthcare ecosystem focused on improving the long-term well-being of community members. The two parties will implement robust data governance policies and processes to ensure effective data management and monitoring, adhering to the highest quality standards.
Moreover, they will employ advanced tools for data standardization, facilitating seamless health information exchange among healthcare providers to improve patient outcomes and operational effectiveness. This initiative includes developing personalized digital health platforms designed to enhance patient engagement and access to care, ultimately fostering “A Healthier Abu Dhabi” by integrating science, technology, and operational best practices to ensure the sustainability and efficiency of the healthcare sector.
