Zayed University recently hosted the 7th Explorance Bluenotes MENA conference at its Dubai Convention Centre, bringing together educators, institutional research leaders, researchers, and technology experts from across the MENA region. Themed “Synergising Perspectives: Harnessing Feedback Analytics and AI to Empower Student Engagement and Institutional Excellence,” the conference examined the transformative impact of data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) on higher education.
The three-day event, attended by over 250 participants from more than 70 institutions across 12 countries, provided a platform for sharing insights on advancing student engagement and institutional quality.
Prof. Michael Allen, Acting Vice President of Zayed University, remarked, “Zayed University is committed to shaping the future of education through data-driven insights. The Bluenotes conference is a key event for us, bringing together innovative voices in education to facilitate insightful discussions that enhance our ability to serve students and communities.”
The conference included keynote speeches, panel discussions, and interactive workshops, allowing participants to learn from global and regional leaders in quality assurance, institutional research, and AI-enabled insights.
A notable outcome of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Zayed University, Ajman University, and the American University of Sharjah to create a consortium dedicated to benchmarking and data-sharing, aimed at improving institutional effectiveness.
