Egypt’s Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and venture capital firm Flat6Labs have launched the InvestIT program, designed to support Egyptian tech startups, especially those in the seed and pre-Series A stages. The initiative aims to help startups grow and compete on a global scale.
Managed by the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC), the program will provide startups with tailored consultancy, tools, and connections to investors. InvestIT will play a key role in supporting Egypt’s growing digital economy, offering essential resources to tech startups across various regions.
The program will follow a two-phase process, offering personalized training, workshops, and investor connections. Over the course of six to eight months, 12 startups will receive consultancy services aimed at enhancing their investment readiness. This includes guidance on data room setup and preparing for investor meetings, to help startups secure funding.
The launch of InvestIT aligns with Egypt’s strategy to build a robust tech startup ecosystem, connecting startups to crucial resources and networks of local and international investors. With the backing of ITIDA, TIEC, and Flat6Labs, the program aims to address key challenges faced by early-stage startups while further cementing Egypt’s position as a leading tech hub in the Middle East and Africa. This initiative is also part of Egypt’s broader efforts to develop Digital Egypt innovation hubs and modernize infrastructure, creating a conducive environment for startups to scale and contribute to the nation’s digital transformation.
