Orange Jordan took part in the inaugural “Makers’ Forum,” organized by the Crown Prince Foundation as part of the “Makerspace” program. The initiative is aimed at fostering economic participation and promoting innovation. The event, which attracted 5,200 visitors from across Jordan, provided a platform for Orange to showcase key innovations from its Fabrication Lab, part of the Orange Digital Centers (ODC).
Among the highlights were the Spider Robot, an educational tool designed to enhance students’ skills in robotics and programming, and the Ender 2 Printer, used in events and workshops to bring ideas to life. The third innovation on display was a drone developed to support the agricultural sector by using AI-based data to detect early signs of plant diseases, offering farmers valuable insights to improve their yields.
Shatha Jayyousi, Entrepreneurship Manager at Orange Jordan, participated in a panel discussion on the impact of innovation on local communities. She emphasized how innovations, like those displayed by Orange, drive the creation of new job opportunities and enhance the skills of community members. Jayyousi also shared insights into Orange Jordan’s community programs, particularly the Fabrication Lab. This initiative provides a creative space for both women and men, empowering them with digital tools to unleash their full potential. The lab operates across six locations in Amman, Karak, Irbid, Zarqa, and Aqaba.
