Ezditek Expands Data Infrastructure in Saudi Arabia
Ezditek, a leading provider of data center and digital infrastructure services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), has officially broken ground on its flagship data center facility, RUH01, located in Riyadh. The new facility is set to play a pivotal role in supporting the country’s digital transformation.
Strategic Location at Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University
The RUH01 data center will be situated on a 35,000+ square meter plot within the grounds of Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University (PNU), the world’s largest female university. The facility is strategically placed to provide a sustainable and scalable foundation for the local digital transformation, offering a critical entry point for hyperscalers, cloud providers, and enterprises seeking to establish a presence in Saudi Arabia.
Capacity and Timeline for Launch
Ezditek aims for RUH01 to reach 100% of public and enterprise customers in the Saudi central region, with a maximum capacity of 24 MW. The state-of-the-art data center is expected to go live by Q1 2026, marking a significant milestone in the Kingdom’s technological growth.

CEO Ibrahim Almulhim expressed the strategic importance of the location, stating, “Riyadh, as one of the fastest-developing cities in the world, is the natural hub for digital transformation. It sits at the heart of KSA’s rapidly expanding technology sector, making it the ideal location for our flagship data center.”
Enhancing Connectivity and Digital Sovereignty
The RUH01 facility is designed to meet the growing demand for rapid connectivity, with the ability to reach 90% of the Saudi population within just 25 milliseconds. This high-performance data center supports Saudi Arabia’s digitalization efforts by strengthening data sovereignty and positioning the Kingdom as a global digital hub. Additionally, it will host the Saudi Arabian Internet Exchange (SAIE), offering speeds of 100+ Gbps to reduce latency and enhance the localization of content and traffic.
