Zain Group has announced the appointment of Mohammad Al-Marshed as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), effective November 24, 2024. Al-Marshed, who previously served as the Executive Director of Networks at Zain Group, brings over two decades of experience in telecommunications and ICT.
Al-Marshed’s journey with Zain began in 2002 when he joined as a networks engineer. Over the past 22 years, he has played a key role in shaping the Group Technology division, gaining extensive expertise across networks, ICT, digital transformation, wholesale, data governance, and climate change. His diverse experience spans across various projects, environments, and countries, where he has successfully managed complex technologies and led multicultural teams. His leadership skills are also reflected in his ability to develop and empower others, driving productivity and skill enhancement within his teams.
Al-Marshed holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from California State University, Long Beach, and a Master Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University. He further pursued an MBA in Telecom from ESI and completed several prestigious leadership programs, including Leadership as a Force of Change at Harvard Business School, Advanced Leadership at London Business School, and Executive Master’s in Consulting and Coaching for Change at HEC Paris, among others.
