Orange Jordan Celebrates International Day of Persons with Disabilities with “Inclusion” Initiative

In honor of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, observed annually on December 3rd, Orange Jordan has launched a new initiative to raise awareness about the rights of persons with disabilities. From December 3rd to December 10th, the company changed its network name to “Inclusion” in collaboration with the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (HCD).

This initiative aims to highlight the importance of including and involving persons with disabilities in all aspects of society, ensuring their effective participation in the community. It aligns with the upcoming Global Disability Summit (GDS), which will be presided over by His Majesty King Abdullah II, the German Chancellor, and the International Disability Alliance in 2025.

Orange Jordan emphasized that empowering persons with disabilities begins by challenging stereotypes and establishing equal opportunities. Every step taken contributes to building a more inclusive society. Since 2019, Orange has been running a series of programs and activities under the umbrella of “Differently abled, definitely enabled.” The company values its long-standing partnership with the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, as they collaborate on initiatives that promote diversity and equal opportunities.

As part of its corporate social responsibility strategy, Orange Jordan continues to support persons with disabilities both internally and externally. This includes launching the Digital Inclusion Catalogue across all Orange showrooms and incorporating persons with disabilities into the programs run by Orange Digital Centers (ODC) in various governorates of the Kingdom.

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities was first introduced by the United Nations in 1992. This year’s activities emphasize expanding initiatives, programs, and efforts to include all persons with disabilities and develop their leadership capabilities.
