Orange Jordan Wins Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II Award for Voluntary Work

Orange Jordan has been awarded the prestigious Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II Award for Voluntary Work in the category for-profit organizations in corporate social responsibility. The award recognizes the efforts of Orange Jordan’s Coding Academy, a project implemented under the umbrella of Orange Digital Centers.

The ceremony, held at the Cultural Palace in Al Hussein Youth City, was attended by Yazan Shdeifat, Minister of Youth and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II Award for Voluntary Work, who deputized for HRH Crown Prince Hussein.

The award is a testament to Orange Jordan’s significant role in empowering youth through its community and national partnerships, particularly in the realm of digital and social empowerment. The Coding Academy, which has been making a difference in five Jordanian governorates for five years, has positively impacted over 800 participants, with 80% of them successfully entering the labor market.

Launched in 2019 by Orange Group, the Coding Academy is the first of its kind in the Middle East and is accredited by Princess Sumaya University for Technology and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The academy follows a “Training for Employment” business model, providing students with a wide range of career options, including entry into the labor market or launching entrepreneurial projects.

This recognition reflects Orange Jordan’s ongoing commitment to fostering digital education, digital inclusion, and entrepreneurship, contributing to the broader national digital transformation. Orange Jordan, part of the global Orange Group, has built a reputation as a Responsible Digital Leader, striving to improve the lives of people across Jordan.
