A new ministerial resolution, No. 2815 of 2024, regarding the validity of electronically issued vehicle driving permits for residents, was officially published today in the Official Gazette, according to Al-Seyassah daily. The resolution stipulates that vehicle driving permits issued through the My Kuwait Identity and Sahel applications, as well as the Ministry of Interior application, will be accepted across all entities in Kuwait for both governmental and non-governmental transactions, ensuring their validity.
As outlined in Article One of the resolution, these electronic driving permits must be recognized for their existence and validity in all necessary transactions. Article Two of the resolution specifies that the Undersecretary of the Ministry is responsible for implementing this decision, which will take effect immediately upon its publication.
The new resolution aims to streamline the process of verifying driving permits and simplify administrative procedures, thereby enhancing convenience for resident drivers. This development is expected to significantly improve the efficiency of various transactions related to driving permits throughout Kuwait.
