DEWA’s R&D Centre Develops Smart App for Efficient Field Crew Dispatch and Alarm Management

The Research and Development (R&D) Centre of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has developed an innovative smart application designed to automate the selection and dispatch of field crews for alarm management and troubleshooting. The new digital solution, based on an Internet of Things (IoT) platform, aims to enhance fault response efficiency and minimize response times. By automating the crew selection process and dispatching the nearest available team, the application ensures that systems are restored quickly and effectively.

In addition to automating the dispatch process, the solution features real-time report generation, providing detailed tabular summaries that include records of dispatched crews, fault specifics, and the steps taken to restore services.
