The FabTech Mobile Lab, the first of its kind in Oman, toured various schools and universities across Muscat, Al Dhahirah, and Al Dakhiliyah governorates over the last five years, aiming to engage students with modern manufacturing techniques and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The mobile lab visited approximately 80 schools, hosted 12 training camps, and participated in more than 10 educational events and festivals. The programme focused on empowering students by helping them turn their ideas into tangible projects using cutting-edge manufacturing technologies like 3D printers, laser cutting machines, and engineering design software. Engineer Othman Al-Mandhri, Founder and CEO of InnoTech, expressed hope that the experience would inspire the next generation of innovators and designers.

Ibrahim Al Hinai, Social Investment Manager at bp Oman, emphasized the programme’s alignment with bp Oman’s commitment to supporting education and career development in energy and other sectors. Over 10,000 students benefitted from the programme, participating in school tours, summer camps, and educational events.
