SAP has announced the availability of its SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) on Google Cloud in Saudi Arabia, exclusively for regulated customers. This strategic collaboration aims to enhance Saudi government organizations and critical national infrastructure entities with scalable, secure, and innovative cloud solutions.
SAP BTP is an advanced innovation platform that integrates application development, automation, data analytics, integration, and AI capabilities in one unified environment. Designed for SAP applications in the cloud, it provides a robust foundation for integrating and extending both SAP and third-party applications, helping organizations improve operations and achieve a competitive edge.
The platform will support Saudi Vision 2030 by aligning with local regulations and promoting digital transformation while emphasizing data sovereignty. It ensures compliance with the Cloud Cybersecurity Controls (CCC-2:2024) issued by Saudi Arabia’s National Cybersecurity Authority. By offering local deployment, the platform reduces latency, improves application performance, and offers scalable infrastructure to foster growth.
Mohammed Al Romaizan, Vice President of SAP Saudi Arabia, expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity for Saudi organizations to leverage the cloud services while maintaining their data locally. Bader Almadi, Country Manager for Google Cloud in Saudi Arabia, emphasized the collaboration’s role in driving innovation and contributing to the growth of Saudi Arabia’s digital economy.
This availability of SAP BTP in Saudi Arabia will empower regulated organizations to innovate at speed, optimize costs, and advance their digital transformation journeys, supporting Saudi Arabia’s goals of economic diversification and technological progress under Vision 2030.
