Vodafone’s Johannes Hammer Praises Iraq’s Stability and Positive Developments During Visit

Johannes Hammer, Vodafone Global Telecommunications Managing Director in the Middle East, expressed his satisfaction with the stability in Iraq during his visit to Baghdad. Reflecting on his visit in November, Hammer described the experience as “very positive and amazing,” noting a significant difference from his initial expectations.

In a meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammed S. Al-Sudani and officials from British companies during his visit to London, Hammer commended the efforts being made in Iraq. “We felt proud of all those we met, and what you are doing is amazing. I was very happy to see that you signed agreements and laws related to sovereign guarantees during your visit to Britain,” Hammer remarked.

He also highlighted the joint funding agreements between Iraq and the UK, calling them a very positive development. “It is sad that perceptions are slowly improving toward your country. When I compare what I expected to see and what I saw, the difference is huge and incredibly positive,” he added.
