Zain Group Announces 10th Cycle of Generation Z Graduate Training Program

Zain Group, a leading provider of ICT and digital lifestyle communications across eight markets in the Middle East and Africa, has announced the selection of seven talented Kuwaiti nationals to join the 10th cycle of its prestigious Generation Z (Gen Z) graduate training program.

Over the past nine years, Gen Z has developed more than 45 graduates with the necessary traits, skills, and cultural awareness that have contributed to Zain’s success and the economic prosperity of the region. Today, many of these graduates hold key managerial positions within Zain Group and its operations in Kuwait and Bahrain, with some also seconded to other Zain markets.

The seven selected graduates will undergo a rigorous 12-month development program, receiving training from Zain’s talented workforce, affiliates, and partners, while also engaging in real-world projects across Zain’s footprint. The Gen Z program emphasizes leadership skills, digital delivery, innovation, agile and scrum methodologies, UI/UX design, product and project management, and corporate excellence.

This training will prepare the graduates to support Zain’s recently launched 4WARD – “Progress with Purpose” strategy, which focuses on continuity, acceleration, collaboration, and digital innovation. 4WARD aims to fast-track Zain’s transformation from a mobile operator to a purpose-driven tech company.

Additionally, the graduates will help strengthen Zain Kuwait’s Digital Factory, a newly established operational model designed to centralize and accelerate the development of attractive digital products and services.

Bader Al-Kharafi, Zain Vice-Chairman and Group CEO, commented, “The success and contributions of our graduate program alumni have played a vital role in Zain’s achievements. This program allows us to continuously inject the best and brightest talent into our organization, ensuring that the leaders of tomorrow are developed today. I’m extremely proud of the progress made by the Gen Z initiative and wish our new participants success in their journey.”

The competition for places in the 2025 program was fierce, with over 450 applications. Following individual interviews and a week-long job assessment, seven Kuwaiti nationals were selected: Ayah AlBachar, Dalal AlAjmi, Nourah AlYoub, Rawan Jeraq, Sama Arrar, Sami AlMazroei, and Sarah AlMawad.

Zain’s graduate program reflects the company’s transformation into a digital lifestyle provider, delivering participants with essential technical and soft skills. The 2025 Gen Z program is part of Zain’s Corporate Sustainability strategy under the “Build the Future” pillar and the “Zain Youth” (ZY) initiative, which promotes the growth of youth talent within the company.
