The collaboration aims to advance the digital economy by extending the reach of SmartHub IX through direct connections to DE-CIX’s global network and international Internet Exchanges.
e& Carrier & Wholesale operates multiple geo-redundant SmartHub data centers across the Middle East, providing top-tier SmartHub IX services in these state-of-the-art facilities. The collaboration introduces a remote peering service with several Internet Exchanges in the region, with plans to scale this service globally. The new service promises significant cost savings, improved network reach, scalability, performance enhancement, and increased flexibility. Through this offering, SmartHub IX positions itself as a key gateway to global markets, ensuring seamless cross-border connectivity and improved data exchange capabilities for businesses and service providers.
The SmartHub IX in Fujairah houses the region’s largest submarine cable landing station, connecting global customers, content providers, and Internet service providers. With the new locations in Dubai, the IX business is set to continue its growth. SmartHub IX ensures high-performance interconnection with local, regional, and international networks, offering world-class infrastructure to meet customer demands.
