The Project Management Institute (PMI) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) have signed a collaboration agreement to enhance project governance, execution, and the development of future-ready skills in ITU’s global initiatives. The partnership will help address Africa’s connectivity challenges, leveraging PMI’s expertise in project management.
George Asamani, PMI’s Managing Director for Sub-Saharan Africa, emphasized the importance of project management in addressing the region’s connectivity gaps. Dr. Cosmas Luckyson Zavazava, Director of ITU’s Telecommunication Development Bureau, highlighted the collaboration’s role in advancing digital inclusion and ensuring effective, impactful project delivery, especially in underserved areas.
