SeamlessHR Raises $9 Million to Revolutionize HR Tech and Workforce Productivity in Africa

Nigerian startup SeamlessHR, one of Africa’s leading payroll and HR technology companies, has raised $9 million in its latest funding round, bringing its total funding to $20 million. This investment, supported by the Gates Foundation and Helios Digital Ventures, will help the company expand across Africa and enhance workforce productivity.

Founded in 2018, SeamlessHR has aimed to revolutionize human resource management in Africa by providing innovative technology solutions to streamline processes like recruitment and retirement. The platform is already trusted by over 2,000 companies and serves nearly 300,000 employees across 20 African countries, solidifying its position as a leading HR solution for medium and large enterprises.

With this latest funding, SeamlessHR is expanding its services, focusing on AI-powered management tools and embedded finance solutions to further support businesses and employees. The company is particularly committed to addressing the financial challenges faced by workers in Africa, such as inflation, exchange rates, and limited financial access.

SeamlessHR aims to provide employees with better financial security by offering them access to loans using their employment as collateral. This financial support will help employees with housing, education, and transportation, addressing key needs that affect their productivity and quality of life.

The investment from the Gates Foundation and Helios Digital Ventures will help SeamlessHR continue its mission of improving the efficiency of businesses and enhancing the financial well-being of employees across Africa.
