Ericsson Signs Strategic IT Transformation Deal with Grameenphone for AI-Powered Charging and Mediation

Ericsson has signed a six-year strategic IT transformation agreement with Bangladesh’s Grameenphone to upgrade its backend systems, making it one of the largest catalog-driven charging and mediation deployments globally with integrated AI. The deal will introduce Ericsson Order Care, CPQ capabilities, and Ericsson Catalog Manager, enhancing Grameenphone’s service delivery.

The new systems will modernize Grameenphone’s product and service catalog management, improve service efficiency, and enable faster innovation with a seamless user experience. Additionally, AI-powered applications in the BSS domain, such as intelligent usage analysis and anomaly detection, will help prevent revenue losses and improve service availability.

This transformation sets the stage for Grameenphone to launch new business models, personalize customer offers, and prepare for 5G service deployment in the future. The agreement follows a previous collaboration between the two companies, aimed at deploying AI and automation solutions.
