Iran plans to establish the country’s first artificial intelligence (AI) park in Tehran within the next two years, aiming to showcase the nation’s technological advancements and provide practical AI-related services. Mojtaba Alizadeh, an official with the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy, emphasized that the AI park will cater to various fields, including the Internet of Things (IoT) and Iran’s national AI platform.
The park will provide crucial infrastructure for AI processing, benefiting both researchers and the general public who require these resources for their work. The government, large corporations, and companies are collaborating on the development of the park.
In addition to this, Tehran will host an international conference on AI and the future of civilization on January 29, 2025. The conference will cover AI governance, infrastructure, education, and its role in shaping future civilizations. The event will feature professors and researchers from top global universities and scientific centers, including those from China, Italy, Russia, and Malaysia.
The conference will also feature a product exhibition from knowledge-based companies showcasing the latest AI innovations. This initiative highlights Iran’s ambition to become a significant player in AI development and its increasing focus on integrating AI into public services and industries.
