Bileeta Partners with CENWOR to Empower Women Entrepreneurs with Tailored ERP Solutions in Sri Lanka

Bileeta Ltd., a leading provider of ERP solutions, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Centre for Women’s Research (CENWOR) to introduce user-friendly ERP solutions specifically designed for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in rural Sri Lanka. This collaboration, supported by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) under its Global Environment Facility / Small Grants Program (GEF/SGP), will be launched in the Mannar landscape of Sri Lanka.

The project, titled “Bridging Women Producers to Markets – Mannar Landscape,” aims to empower women entrepreneurs by providing them with customised ERP solutions tailored to the needs of the dry-fish and Palmyra industries in the region. Bileeta will conduct a comprehensive business analysis and deploy an ERP application to manage production and supply processes for selected SMEs. Additionally, Bileeta will provide mentoring and operational guidance to women entrepreneurs, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge necessary for sustainable business growth.

This initiative aligns with Bileeta’s mission to “Humanise Technology” by ensuring that rural SMEs are not left behind in the digital revolution. The project is set to create a socially impactful, technology-driven initiative that contributes to Sri Lanka’s national economic growth and promotes social enterprise development.

Bileeta is known for its flagship product, Entution ERP, which helps businesses streamline operations globally. The company’s specialised platform, Entution Vesta eLMIS, has received global recognition, including being named the best Logistics Management Information System (LMIS) by Gavi and the Global Fund for deployment in low- and middle-income countries. Bileeta’s solutions have been successfully implemented in health logistics systems across the Philippines, Nepal, and Zimbabwe.

CENWOR, a non-profit organisation established in 1984, focuses on promoting gender equality and empowering women through research, education, and advocacy. The partnership between Bileeta and CENWOR represents a step forward in addressing gender disparities in rural Sri Lanka and fostering economic opportunities for women.
