EDOTCO Bangladesh, the country’s leading telecommunications infrastructure provider, has unveiled its newly modernized 5G-ready Tower Operation Centre (TOC) in Dhaka. This state-of-the-art facility serves as a real-time monitoring hub, enhancing the management of telecom towers across the nation with improved operational efficiency, connectivity, and energy optimization.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Major General Md Emdad ul Bari, Chairman of the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), His Excellency Mohd Shuhada Othman, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Bangladesh, and Sunil Issac, Country Managing Director of EDOTCO Bangladesh. The facility marks a significant milestone in the country’s telecommunications development.
Major General Md Emdad ul Bari emphasized that in the rapidly evolving digital era, connectivity plays a key role in socio-economic growth. He praised EDOTCO’s commitment to advancing industry standards and fostering a modern, tech-driven operational ecosystem, aligning with Bangladesh’s vision for a sustainable telecom infrastructure.
His Excellency Mohd Shuhada Othman highlighted EDOTCO’s role in driving Bangladesh’s digital transformation agenda, noting the country’s immense potential to become a regional digital hub. EDOTCO’s contributions have been pivotal in enhancing connectivity, and Malaysia, through EDOTCO, is committed to further accelerating Bangladesh’s connectivity goals.
Sunil Issac expressed pride in the new TOC, describing it as a milestone that optimizes tower operations and supports Bangladesh’s digital transformation. He emphasized EDOTCO’s commitment to empowering communities and fostering economic growth through strong telecom infrastructure.
