Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Nasser Centre for Scientific and Technical Advancement (NCST), the Centre is set to host the first-ever Cybersecurity Guardians Hackathon, themed “Security Innovators 2025.” The event will be held from February 15-20 at the Centre’s headquarters in Jau.

The primary aim of the hackathon is to enhance the cybersecurity skills of Bahraini youth, fostering creativity and innovation in this vital field. The event, organized in collaboration with the National Cybersecurity Centre and the University of Bahrain, will address global digital challenges and highlight the strategic importance of cybersecurity.

The hackathon invites high school and university students to present creative ideas and develop solutions to cybersecurity challenges, utilizing advanced technologies. Special focus is given to high school students to spark early interest in cybersecurity and to university students to bridge academic learning with real-world applications, ultimately contributing to the protection of digital infrastructure.

The programme will include a preparatory day featuring workshops and challenges designed to promote creativity, regardless of participants’ prior experience. Expert-led sessions will equip participants with the necessary knowledge and tools to tackle challenges in areas such as network security, cloud security, IoT security, and AI-based threat detection.

The hackathon will commence on February 15, with project submissions due by February 18. Final presentations and judging will take place on February 20. Registration closes on February 14.

Bahraini youth are encouraged to register at https://hackathon.ncst.edu.bh or contact ha*******@nc**.bh to be part of this transformative event that will contribute to shaping a secure digital future.
