Telecom Egypt CEO Outlines Strategy to Meet 2025 Connectivity Demands

As digital transformation accelerates across Egypt and the Middle East, Telecom Egypt is poised to meet the region’s growing connectivity demands. With the rise of AI, cloud applications, and automated functions, Telecom Egypt plans to leverage its position as a transcontinental connectivity hub and continue investments in both subsea and terrestrial infrastructure.

Telecom Egypt connects over 225Tbps of data between Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. The company is focused on expanding its international infrastructure, having partnered with global subsea cable providers, including deals linking Egypt with Jordan, Albania, and Saudi Arabia. Telecom Egypt is also enhancing its data center capacity, with a new Regional Data Hub (RDH 2) nearing completion, further positioning Egypt as a regional digital hub.

Telecom Egypt’s strategic investments in infrastructure, such as new subsea cables and cloud partnerships, align with its readiness for 5G and smart city initiatives. These moves are designed to meet increasing demand for scalable, low-latency networks while supporting AI, IoT, and cloud applications well into the future.
