The Chairman of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Major General Hafeez Ur Rehman (retd), HI (M), represented Pakistan at the GSMA roundtable titled “The Sky is Not the Limit: Spectrum Challenges for Direct-to-Device Connectivity” during the Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona, Spain. The event brought together global leaders to discuss the challenges surrounding spectrum availability and the regulatory frameworks for both satellite and terrestrial networks.
During his speech, Chairman Rehman reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to driving innovation, ensuring equitable spectrum allocation, and promoting seamless connectivity. He stressed the importance of international collaboration in addressing digital divides and strengthening telecom infrastructure.
