Zain’s Powerful Ramadan Ad Rebukes Trump’s Gaza Plan, Celebrates Palestinian Resilience

Kuwaiti telecom giant Zain has released a bold Ramadan commercial, standing in opposition to US President Donald Trump’s controversial Gaza ‘ethnic cleansing’ plan, which advocates for the mass displacement of Palestinians. The ad highlights Palestinian resilience, featuring emotional performances and powerful imagery, with a strong message against the displacement of Palestinians.

The commercial opens with a young girl singing a ballad about Palestine, walking over shattered glass and rubble, raising a flag that reads: “Let us sing a spiritual peace that embraces a national peace.” The video also features a moving speech from four-year-old Maria Hanoun, who had earlier challenged Trump’s Gaza plan by asking, “If I asked you to leave your home and live in Egypt or China, would you accept that?”

Other elements of the ad include imagery of Palestinian solidarity, such as a birthday cake candle shaped like the map of Palestine and a human tableau forming an olive tree, symbolizing Palestinian identity and endurance. The ad closes with a direct rebuke of Trump’s plan, declaring: “This land is not for sale, not measured in feet but by cubits.”

The ad has resonated strongly with MENA viewers, who have praised its boldness and support for Gaza, particularly in the context of the ongoing conflict. Zain’s Ramadan commercials have earned widespread acclaim for addressing social issues and amplifying messages of solidarity during the Islamic month of Ramadan.
