A partnership agreement was signed in Rabat to launch a national program aimed at training children in digital technologies and artificial intelligence (AI). The initiative, part of the «Digital Morocco 2030» vision, is designed to equip young generations with critical digital skills and foster the responsible use of technology.
The agreement was signed by key figures including Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, Minister of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform; Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication; Fouzi Lekjaa, Deputy Minister in charge of the Budget; and Ibtissam Khamlichi, representing Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P).
The program aims to reach 200,000 children across Morocco, starting with children aged 8 to 14, and will expand to include those aged 15 to 18. It will be rolled out in 12 youth centers across Morocco’s regions. The program will provide specialized training to supervisors, ensuring effective implementation across the country.
In addition to core digital skills, the program will introduce children to the concepts of AI, raise awareness about the ethical challenges posed by new technologies, and ensure equitable access to training, bridging the digital divide in both urban and rural areas. Through practical workshops and emerging technology modules, this initiative aims to foster inclusion and prepare Morocco’s youth for the digital future.
