StartUp Bahrain Pitch Showcases Promising Bahraini Startups

StartUp Bahrain, a platform backed by Tamkeen, has kicked off a new season of its entrepreneurial series, StartUp Bahrain Pitch, highlighting the kingdom’s most promising founders. The event showcased a diverse lineup of Bahraini startups, each offering innovative solutions across various industries.

The featured startups included:

  • Ihdaa: A platform that redefines gifting by combining donations with meaningful experiences.
  • Cardue: A platform simplifying car care by connecting car owners with authorized service providers.
  • Seera: A meal subscription service offering a user-friendly app and robust backend for managing subscribers.
  • Croozz Technologies: A data analytics platform that gamifies driving and rewards safe driving in Bahrain through a free telematics app.
  • DOO: An AI-powered customer experience platform that personalizes interactions and offers 24/7 AI-driven support.

Following intense pitches, DOO, founded by Ali Mohsin, took first place, while Cardue, led by Yusuf Darwish, secured second place. Both startups impressed the judges with their innovative business models and growth potential.

Ali Mohsin, founder of DOO, remarked, “This competition allowed us to showcase our startup to a distinguished group of experts, investors, and stakeholders. It opened doors to diverse perspectives and fostered communication with fellow entrepreneurs. We deeply appreciate the support we received from all partners.”

The event was organized in collaboration with key industry stakeholders, including the Ministry of Industry & Commerce, the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), Bahrain Economic Development Board, and Bahrain Development Bank (BDB). This initiative aligns with Tamkeen’s commitment to supporting innovation and strengthening Bahrain’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The panel of judges included seasoned investors and experts such as Christopher Dix (Investment Partner at BECO Capital VC), Osama Sawadi (Regional Director at Startup Bootcamp), Ayat AlSabbagh (Principal at Suhail Ventures), and Laith Alkhalili (Associate Director at Mumtalakat).
