Mohammad Mehdi Hadavi, Secretary of Iran’s Headquarters for the Development of the Knowledge-Based Economy of Machinery Manufacturing and Advanced Industrial Equipment, visited a knowledge-based company in the electronics sector to emphasize the importance of utilizing these companies’ capabilities in advancing telecommunications and space technology.
During the visit to the Iranian Electronic Industries Company, Hadavi reviewed the company’s technological achievements and stressed the importance of leveraging knowledge-based companies to develop indigenous capabilities in space technology and information technology. The company, specializing in optics, telecommunications equipment, and medical devices, plays a crucial role in supporting Iran’s development of domestic space and telecommunications systems.
Hadavi highlighted the significance of knowledge-based companies in producing domestic technology and discussed the potential for a memorandum of understanding focused on the design and production of indigenous satellites using local expertise.
Additionally, in November, specialists from a knowledge-based company successfully manufactured telecommunications processors, a key component for transmitting information across electrical, optical, or radio signals. These domestically produced processors are set to replace foreign models used in Iran’s telecommunications industry, with improvements tailored to customer needs, enhanced security, and data safety.
Majid Pazireh, Managing Director of the company, explained that these processors were fully designed and produced by Iranian specialists, marking a significant milestone in the country’s telecommunications industry. The domestic processors offer a secure and adaptable solution, providing both hardware and software customizations based on customer requirements.
