Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Unveils Major Education Reform Plan with Smart Classrooms and IT Initiatives

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced an ambitious education reform plan aimed at integrating modern technology into government schools across the province. The plan includes the installation of smart classrooms and digital labs to improve the quality of education. Speaking on Digital Learning Day, she emphasized the importance of aligning education with technological advancements and preparing Punjab’s youth for the global job market.

As part of this initiative, the government will offer advanced IT training programs, including courses in artificial intelligence (AI) software development and freelancing. These programs will provide students with certifications that meet international job market standards. Additionally, Maryam announced the creation of Pakistan’s first Nawaz Sharif IT City in Lahore, featuring state-of-the-art facilities and expected to house international IT universities. The IT City will also include a plug-and-play call center hub, offering both educational opportunities and employment in the IT sector.

This comprehensive digital transformation aims to empower Punjab’s youth, fostering innovation, economic growth, and success in the global economy. Furthermore, CM Maryam Nawaz took action on an incident in Shahdara, where a young girl was injured by a kite string, directing authorities to ensure her best medical care.

On a personal note, CM Maryam Nawaz has left for Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah, with her father Nawaz Sharif bidding her farewell. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also traveled to Saudi Arabia for his official visit, likely to hold important talks with Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman.
