Tencent Cloud to Invest Over $650 Million in Expanding Middle East and Southeast Asia Infrastructure

Tencent Cloud has announced plans to invest more than $650 million to expand its global infrastructure, focusing on the Middle East and Southeast Asia. During the Tencent Cloud City Summit in Shanghai on March 19, CEO Dowson Tong revealed that Tencent will build its first data center in Saudi Arabia with an investment exceeding $150 million, and a third data center in Indonesia, which will receive a $500 million investment.

This expansion is part of Tencent Cloud’s ongoing global growth, as it serves over 10,000 clients in more than 80 countries and regions, including North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia. The company has also formed partnerships with over 40 Fortune 500 companies in China to support digital transformation initiatives.

Tencent Cloud’s expansion into Saudi Arabia and Indonesia demonstrates its commitment to strengthening its presence in key markets, providing reliable cloud services, and helping businesses with their digital transformation efforts.
