OPSWAT, a global leader in critical infrastructure protection (CIP) solutions headquartered in Tampa, Florida, has announced the opening of its new office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This move comes as the Kingdom emerges as one of the fastest-growing cybersecurity markets in the Middle East, with a projected value of SAR38.25 billion ($10.2 billion) by 2026.
The establishment of a local office reflects OPSWAT’s commitment to supporting Saudi Arabia’s critical infrastructure resilience and its alignment with the nation’s Vision 2030 and digital transformation efforts. Sertan Selcuk, Vice President of METAP & CIS Region, emphasized the importance of the new office, stating, “As demand for advanced cybersecurity solutions grows, this office enables us to better support Saudi Arabia’s ambitious digital transformation agenda.”
OPSWAT has seen significant growth in the Kingdom, with Saudi Arabia becoming the top contributor to OPSWAT’s business in the MEA region, achieving a four-fold year-on-year growth. The company’s flagship technology, Content Disarm and Reconstruction (CDR), is in high demand in the Kingdom, effectively neutralizing potential threats hidden within files without compromising data integrity.
Amjad Quteifan, Regional Sales Director for Saudi Arabia, Central Gulf, and North Africa, highlighted the importance of the Riyadh office in providing better service to local customers and partners. “We are excited about the opportunities to engage more closely with local stakeholders and contribute to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030,” he said.
In addition to providing cybersecurity solutions, OPSWAT aims to support local talent development through the OPSWAT Academy. This initiative will offer certifications and training for Saudi cybersecurity professionals, aligned with the company’s global SAR37.5 million scholarship program. The Academy’s efforts will help meet the increasing demand for certified CIP cybersecurity experts in Saudi Arabia.
