Bahrain FinTech Bay (BFB), the kingdom’s leading fintech hub, has joined forces with ZenData Security, a prominent cybersecurity firm, to offer specialized cybersecurity training across the country through the Mena Innovation Academy. This initiative, powered by BFB in collaboration with Reboot 01, aims to enhance cybersecurity awareness and capabilities within Bahrain’s financial sector and beyond.
The partnership will kick off with a three-day comprehensive cybersecurity training program in June, specifically designed for professionals in the financial sector. This program will equip participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to identify, mitigate, and respond to cybersecurity threats effectively.
Bader Sater, CEO of Bahrain FinTech Bay, emphasized, “We are committed to enabling innovation and resilience across the fintech ecosystem. By partnering with ZenData Security, we are empowering our participants with the specialized knowledge and tools necessary to safeguard financial innovation. This initiative reflects our commitment to creating a secure and resilient fintech environment in Bahrain and the region.”
The inaugural training session will take place from June 15 to 17 and will cover vital cybersecurity topics for financial institutions, including threat identification, security protocols, regulatory compliance, and incident response. The curriculum will combine theoretical learning with practical simulations to ensure participants gain actionable skills.
ZenData Security CEO Isabelle Meyer added, “As cyber threats become increasingly complex, the human element remains the most vulnerable point in any organization. Through this partnership, we aim to transform financial professionals from potential security liabilities into a strong line of defense for their organizations.”
Meyer also noted that the partnership aligns with both organizations’ vision to strengthen Bahrain’s position in the global fintech landscape. The tailored training programs are designed to address the growing demand for cybersecurity expertise, driven by Bahrain’s ongoing digital transformation.
